Charly B - Gipsy [Official Music Video] feat. Nordia Witter

“Gipsy”, titre de Charly B, de style Dancehall/Flamenco, écrit et chanté par Charly  en patois jamaïcain enrichi de quelques clins d’oeil au français, a été enregistré à Portland dans le célèbre studio Geejam.  Rihanna, Alborosie, Amy Winehouse, pour n’en citer que quelques uns, y avaient eux-mêmes enregistré avant Charly, le plus jamaïcain des chanteurs français.

Jon Baker, qui a immédiatement voulu investir dans la production de cette chanson, en a financé le clip vidéo.  On se souvient qu’il avait déjà co-fondé Island Records avec Chris Blackwell, le producteur de Bob Marley.

Le clip de “Gipsy”a été filmé dans le Château Trident de Port Antonio sous la direction de Rick Elgood, réalisateur de Dancehall Queen, film culte des années 90.

La musique de Gipsy a été composée par Dale “Dizzle” Virgo, connu pour divers titres des albums de Rihanna, Drake, Chris Martin et Gyptian.

Charly B et la chanteuse Nordia Witter sont entourés ici des danseurs du “D-Squad” crew et des danseuses de Kimiko Miller, récemment choisie par Sean Paul pour son dernier clip “Scorcha”.

On retrouvera “Gipsy” dans “Multiplicity”, le prochain album de Charly B, dont la sortie est prévue pour la fin de l’année.  Mélange de reggae et de dancehall, il s’inscrira dans la continuité de “Journey of Life”, l’album précédent de Charly.

“Gipsy”, track by Charly B, in a Dancehall / Flamenco style, written and sung by Charly in Jamaican patois enriched with some French vibes. Song was recorded in Portland in the famous Geejam studios. Rihanna, Alborosie, Amy Winehouse, to name a few, had recorded there themselves before Charly, the most Jamaican of French singers.

Jon Baker, who immediately wanted to invest in the production of this song, funded the music video. We remember that he had previously co-founded Island Records with Chris Blackwell, producer of Bob Marley.

The music video for “Gipsy” was filmed in the Trident Castle in Port Antonio under the direction of Rick Elgood, director of Dancehall Queen, a cult movie of the 90s.

Gipsy's music was composed by Dale “Dizzle” Virgo, known for various tracks from Rihanna, Drake, Chris Martin and Gyptian albums.

Charly B and singer Nordia Witter are surrounded here by dancers from the “D-Squad” crew and dancers from Kimiko Miller, recently chosen by Sean Paul for his latest music video “Scorcha”.

We will find "Gipsy" in "Multiplicity", Charly B's next album, which is scheduled for release at the end of the year. A mix of reggae and dancehall, it will be part of the continuity of "Journey of Life", Charly's previous album.
